I watched as many reviews as I could find and was leaning towards a One-up but couldn't bring myself to spend the money. The number of racks out there is mind numbing and I looked at most of the "quality" tray racks available. Really impressed with RockyMounts customer service, they immediately wrote back any time I had a question. At that price I'd consider 1UP, but they're sold out for who knows how long. If it goes completely off sale, then $990. The Rockymounts 4-bike setup? On sale for ONLY $810, and 76 lbs. Leaving that here so others don't have to fiddle with the math like I did.

Pretty easy to put together, only pro tip is look at the finished product pic if you're stumbling on positioning.Ĭurrently for a 4-bike configuration: Kuat Transfer Base 2.0 is $1048 and 91 lbs 1UP Heavy Duty Double is $1009 and 82 lbs Thule Pro T2 is $1070 and 87 lbs. Only downside is that sometimes it's tempting to just drive around with my bikes and laugh at those poor folks with hanger racks.īut really, it's cheaper, lighter, and just as if not even more sturdy/secure than the Thule, Kuat, and 1UPs I looked at online and in person at the local trails. Admittedly sometimes I'll swerve around sharp corners just to watch how rock solid this keeps the bikes. Or maybe just take a long vacation with four bikes. I can start a family, all thanks to RockyMounts. I even have room for a friend's bike, and when the additions come back in stock I'll look forward to having FOUR-bike capacity. This rack performs beautifully, looks so sexy I might not even put stickers on it, never gives me grief, and just gets me. Posted by East Coast Biker Finds True Love on Aug 26th 2020 I travel a lot with friends and this rack is awesome I love it so much I plan to purchase a add on ASAP.
I have had a rack on my car for years but this is the first one that does NOT move around when driving which makes me feel better about the load it is carrying. Posted by Robin Lynn Evans Kremer on Sep 28th 2020 I have not seen anything close out there, and hoping this rack last for many years. So far after many journeys, it has opened up options for my crew. Stable, easy to load, bikes don’t touch, and heavy duty. Weight to get into the hitch could be an issue for some, but after hitched it is money. Now that my buds can load up together in one car to head out, this 4 bike rack has been awesome. Customer Service is friendly and you actually talk to a person. The one thing that stood out is the mount does not shake in the hitch once tightened. Easy assembly, light weight, adjustable trays to position bikes. I did the research selected the LS split Rail. Glad this company popped up on the social media. I have been utilizing my rack for a month super sturdy and practical the quality A1 is excelente a small recommendation to the finish will be to add a black round sticker to cover the screw holes Depending on hitch manufacturer, handlebar width, vehicle wheelbase, and accessories an 8" Hitch Extension may be required for handlebars to clear the door.Ĭlick Here For The SplitRail LS Instruction VideoĬlick Here For Our Hitch Rack Comparison ChartĬlick Here For The SpliRail LS Dimension ChartĬlick Here For The SplitRail LS Instructions
